A useful distinction
An item may have known wear, a missing label or uncertain history. A useful handover note preserves those facts instead of describing everything as ready for use. The recipient still needs the applicable product information and any required safety checks.
Put it into practice
List what is known, what is missing and the source of the information. Check the relevant official records where appropriate. Do not pass a recalled item on as usable; follow the actual recall remedy and applicable rules rather than a general hand-me-down checklist.
