Appearance Does Not Certify Product Safety

An attractive picture cannot supply missing evidence.

A useful distinction

A clean or well-photographed item can still have information unavailable to the viewer. Product suitability depends on its actual category, identifiers, instructions and applicable requirements. A generated family-room image establishes none of those facts.

Put it into practice

Keep visual observations separate from the documentation needed for the product. Use official guidance and appropriate professional support when necessary. Avoid labels such as “certified safe” unless the actual evidence supports the precise claim being made for the identified item.
